Mind, Body, Spirit

Nutrition plays an important role to overall health and so does the mind-body-spirit connection. Understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, mental health, the nervous system and the immune system is an important aspect of achieving one’s health goals.

The mind-body connection treats the whole person, not just the individual parts. Our minds are connected and influenced by the body and vice versa leaving a huge impact on health outcome, whether being negative or positive.

The mind-body connection is part of the overall wellbeing of a person and health assessment. The Mind-Body healing approach rests on an awareness that negative thoughts, beliefs, emotions, mental images, and self-talk can create an inner imbalance in your physiology leading to serious diseases and chronic conditions. Your thought processes continually create new pathways in the brain, good or bad.

On the flip side, there are clear positive patterns of thought that can generate beliefs, emotions, and self-regard that create a balance of your mind and body as well as vibrant good health. In a similar manner, the condition of your physical body (its internal chemistry, fitness, and vitality, etc.) will have an enormous impact on the functioning of the mind. Healing of one facilitates the healing of the other.
